News: Male pedestrian hospitalized after crash on Woodbine Ave in Markham

MARKHAM, ON — A man was critically injured Saturday night, March 2, following a pedestrian crash on Woodbine Avenue in Markham, reports CP24.

The incident, which happened on a stretch of the road north of Steeles Avenue East, resulted in the victim being transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officials later released an update indicating that the patient’s condition had stabilized.

As of this writing, no information about the circumstances of the accident have been made available, and it’s unclear whether the driver stayed at the scene.

A stretch of Woodbine Avenue was blocked from Steelcase Road West to Idema Road as officials worked to process the area.
