News: Man, 22, charged with deadly 2-vehicle crash in Mississauga 

MISSISUGA, ON – A 22-year-old man faces several charges in connection with a deadly two-vehicle crash that happened earlier this year. 

According to a Peel Regional Police press release, the collision took place before 2 p.m. at the intersection of Erin Mills Parkway and Vista Boulevard. It was there that the 22-year-old man, driving a blue Mazda 3, had crashed into a silver Jeep Cherokee. 

The 22-year-old man lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a pole. Police said the Mazda driver, a Mississauga resident, and his passenger, a 20-year-old man, were left with serious injuries. The 20-year-old later died from his injuries. 

The Mazda driver faces the following charges: Dangerous Operation Causing Death, Operation While Impaired Causing Death (Drugs), Possession for the Purpose of Distributing, Race a Motor Vehicle, Speeding – 140 Km/h in a 70 Km/h Zone, Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Speeding by 40 or More km/h in a Zone That is Less Than 80 km/h, Driver – Fail(ing) to Properly Wear Seat Belt.
