TORONTO, ON – A hit-and-run collision in Brampton on Sunday resulted in a Toronto man facing charges related to firearms and impaired driving.
According to the Toronto Sun, Peel Regional Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at Steeles Ave. and Torbram Rd. around 5:15 a.m.
Following the incident, one of the drivers reportedly fled the scene on foot and was apprehended a short distance away. Authorities allege that the individual, identified as 25-year-old Adrian Kyle Persad-Orr, was in possession of a loaded 40-calibre Glock pistol, and the vehicle he had been driving was stolen.
Persad-Orr now faces multiple charges, including unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, unauthorized possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, operation while impaired, failure or refusal to comply with demand, failure to stop after an accident, and possession of property obtained by crime.
