News: Man killed, woman seriously hurt in single-car crash in Clarington 

CLARINGTON, ON – A 62-year-old man was killed and a 56-year-old woman was left with serious injuries as a result of a single-car crash that happened in Clarington on Sunday.

Police told Toronto City News that the events unfolded when a sedan driver, the 62-year-old man, lost control of his vehicle while driving on Newtownville Road. He drifted out of his lane and crashed into a creek.

Police and ambulances arrived at the scene after 9:15 p.m. and declared the driver dead at the scene. EMS crews took the passenger, the 56-year-old woman, to a trauma centre for treatment.

Police are working to determine the exact cause of the crash.
