News: Minor injuries reported in Toronto crashes with black ice 

TORONTO, ON – One person was hospitalized for minor injuries after several Tuesday morning crashes that happened due to black ice on the roads, CBC reports. 

The injured individual’s six-vehicle crash took place at 5:27 a.m. at the Don Valley Parkway and Eastern Avenue connector. 

The second collision happened less than 10 minutes later at 5:34 a.m. at the intersection of Gardiner Expressway E. and York Street. This particular crash involved three vehicles and did not leave anyone physically impacted. 

For the remainder of the day, drivers were encouraged to reduce their speeds and give themselves extra time to get to their destinations.
