ORILLIA, ON — A pedestrian crash Saturday evening in downtown Orillia sent three people to a hospital, where a five-year-old victim succumbed to their injuries, reports Global News.
The fatal incident took place at the intersection of West Street South and Colborne Street on January 20, some time before 5:00 p.m.
While the circumstances of the event remain under investigation, Orillia OPP (Ontario Provincial Police), paramedics, and firefighters responded to the scene.
Three pedestrians who suffered unspecified injuries in a crash involving two vehicles were transported to an area hospital. Authorities confirmed that one of the victims, a five-year-old child, was later pronounced deceased.
No other information about the victims or the two involved drivers has been provided at this time.
