News: Multi-vehicle crash in London claims 2 lives, leaves 8 others injured

LONDON, ON — Emergency responders were dispatched to a multi-vehicle, multi-injury crash Tuesday morning in London that has claimed the lives of two people, according to Global News.

The accident happened on a span of Highbury Avenue in Middlesex Centre, some time after 5:20 a.m.

An investigation into the circumstances of the crash remains in progress, but Middlesex Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said of the 10 people who were transported to an area hospital, two patients have died from their injuries. Among the survivors, two remain in life-threatening condition.

Part of Highbury Avenue from Ilderton Road to Ten Mile Road was shut down during the emergency response. The closure was expected to remain in place until about 12:00 p.m.
