News: Multiple injuries reported after pedestrian crash at west Toronto residence

TORONTO, ON — A pedestrian is in life-threatening condition after a crash at a west Toronto home Sunday afternoon that left three other people injured, according to Global News.

Toronto Police responded to the scene in the city’s Etobicoke area, near Albion Road and Byng Avenue, some time around 5:00 p.m.

While an investigation remains underway, officials say a Jeep was making a lane change when it lost control and collided with two pedestrians.

One pedestrian who was left trapped under the vehicle after being dragged for an unspecified distance. First responders rushed the patient to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The other pedestrian, who sustained injuries considered non-life-threatening, was also transported to the hospital. Authorities did not immediately disclose the conditions of the Jeep’s driver and passenger, but both people were also taken to the hospital.

Authorities indicated that the Jeep crashed up a flight of stairs to the house’s front porch, but no other details have been shared.
