BURLINGTON, ON – All eastbound lanes of Highway 403 in west Burlington’s Aldershot area were closed early Wednesday following a collision, according to OPP GTA Traffic.
The wreck occurred at Waterdown Road (Exit 78), prompting a response from Ontario Provincial Police officers some time before 12:48 a.m.
Officials have not released a sequence of events leading up to the crash or any information about the involved parties, but all eastbound lanes of Highway 403 were blocked in the immediate aftermath.
The closure remained in place until 5:07 a.m., over four hours later, suggesting a more involved emergency response.
