TORONTO, ON – A man in his 30s was rushed to a hospital Tuesday evening after a pedestrian collision on the Gardiner Expressway near Toronto’s Little Tibet neighborhood, reports CP24.
The incident occurred on the westbound lanes approaching Jameson Avenue, prompting an emergency response shortly after 6:00 p.m.
Toronto Police have not said what led up to the crash, but the victim was struck by a vehicle and suffered life-threatening injuries.
No information about the driver has been provided, but they stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. It’s unclear at this time whether any charges are anticipated.
A section of the westbound expressway from Spadina Avenue to Jameson Avenue was blocked in the immediate aftermath.
