MISSISSAUGA, ON – A female pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision that happened along the Mississauga Convention Centre on Thursday.
The pedestrian was struck by two vehicles in the area of Derry Road and Hurontario Street around 6 a.m., CTV News said. One of the vehicles, a white sedan, fled the scene prior to first responders’ arrival.
The fleeing vehicle is said to have sustained heavy damage to the front right corner.
The female pedestrian was left with serious injuries and sent to a trauma centre for treatment.
Peel Regional Police shut down Hurontario Street South for the scene clean-up process and overall investigation.
