News: Pregnant lady hospitalized after rollover wreck in Scarborough

SCARBOROUGH, ON – A pregnant woman in her 40s was sent to a trauma centre for serious, non-life-threatening wounds after her car overturned Tuesday.

This solo collision happened after 6:30 a.m. when the woman, for reasons unclear, lost control of her car, leading it to overturn in front of the Seven Oaks Long-Term Care Home, according to Toronto City News

The crash, which occurred in the vicinity of Ellesmere Road and Neilson Road, caused the woman to become trapped inside the vehicle.

Fire crews extricated the woman from her car prior to her being taken to the medical facility. Medical personnel said the woman’s fetus is expected to survive, as indicated by a CT scan.

As for the Seven Oaks residents, no one was harmed, and the building itself suffered some minor damage.
