TORONTO, ON – A driver is facing charges in connection to a single-vehicle crash in southwest Toronto early Saturday.
According to a City News report, a Nissan Maxima was heading west on Gardiner Expressway near Jameson Avenue at about 3 a.m. when the driver lost control. The vehicle then veered off the roadway and slammed into a guardrail before overturning in the roadway.
A passenger in the vehicle, 22, was rushed to an area hospital with injuries believed to be life threatening. Three others were reportedly injured in the crash. However, the extent of their injuries is unclear at this time.
The driver, 22-year-old Stefano Odorico of Weston, was taken into custody after being treated for minor injuries at the scene. He is currently facing three charges of impaired driving.
