News: Single-vehicle crash in Toronto injures 1, knocks out power

TORONTO, ON -A vehicle collided with a pole in east Toronto on Friday morning, resulting in a disruption of traffic lights at the intersection of Kennedy Road and Eglinton Avenue East in Scarborough, according to a Global News report.

Emergency crews responded to the incident at 8:19 a.m., reporting that the collision caused the light post to fall, affecting the functioning of the traffic lights.

In response to the outage, police advised drivers to treat the intersection as a four-way stop. A vehicle with severe front-end damage was observed at the scene.

Despite the severity of the crash, the driver reportedly sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.
