News: Speeding driver causes crash that kills pedestrian in Toronto 

TORONTO, ON – Toronto Police suspect one driver was speeding, which caused a two-vehicle collision that claimed a pedestrian’s life and injured another Monday.

This crash occurred after 8 p.m., at Annette Street and Pacific Avenue, CP24 said.

Toronto Police said this collision happened south of Dundas Street West, and the vehicles involved were a blue 2024 Hyundai Elantra and a grey 2017 Hyundai Tucson.

Officers said both drivers remained at the scene. First responders took the Tucson driver, a 34-year-old woman, and the surviving pedestrian, a man in his 50s, to a hospital for their minor wounds.

Officials confirmed that the other pedestrian, a 46-year-old woman, died at the scene.

Authorities did not confirm if the Elantra motorist, a 57-year-old man, was injured.
