News: Suspected street racing on Gardiner Expy. results in injury crash

TORONTO, ON – A truck driver was hosptialized following a crash caused by suspected street racing in southwest Toronto early Saturday.

According to City News, a red Porche collided with a tractor-trailer at a high rate of speed in the westbound lanes of the Gardiner Expressway near the Park Lawn Road overpass shortly before 1:30 a.m.

The impact caused the truck to overturn, blocking all westbound lanes.

Following the initial collision, the driver of the Proche fled the scene on foot. It is unclear if any identifications or arrests have been made at this time.

The trucks driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was hosptialized for treatment.
