News: Teen arrested after home invasion-turned-fiery crash in Vaughan 

VAUGHAN, ON – A 17-year-old teenager was arrested after a home invasion-turned-fiery crash that happened in Vaughan on Wednesday. 

Toronto City News said the events unfolded before 4:30 a.m. and began when police were called to the scene of a home invasion in the area of Pine Valley Drive and Teston Road. At one of the homes, the teenager, along with three other suspects, stole a homeowner’s vehicle and fled the scene prior to the police’s arrival. 

Not long after, the 17-year-old, who drove the stolen vehicle, crashed the car near Teston Road and Cityview Boulevard. The vehicle caught fire, and the teenager was left with serious leg injuries. 

Police arrested the teenager, and medics transported him to a Toronto hospital. 

The three other suspects fled the scene of the collision on foot and have not been found at this time. 

York Regional Police have not released a description of the suspects at this time.
