News: Truck driver charged with impaired driving following crash near Barrie

BARRIE, ON – A truck driver is facing charges following a multi-vehicle crash just north of Barrie on Monday.

According to the Toronto Sun, a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle collided on Highway 400 near Penetanguishene Road at about 10 p.m.

It is unclear at this time whether anyone suffered injuries as a result of the crash.

The truck driver, 32-year-old Norman Windover, was arrested after displaying signs of impairment at the scene. He is currently facing charges of operation while impaired (alcohol) and operation while impaired (blood-alcohol concentration 80-plus.)
