MILTON, ON – A transport truck driver was hospitalized for minor wounds after his truck (carrying live chickens) overturned after crashing into a sedan Wednesday.
The Toronto Sun said this crash occurred west of the James Snow Parkway on Highway 401 East. The truck, which carried live chickens, had left the truck and was seen moving across the road. Animal welfare workers were seen gathering those chickens, trying to put them in one central spot.
Upon arrival, Ontario Provincial Police closed one HOV westbound lane, along with the left and middle lanes, for their investigation and for the scene clearance process. All closures lasted until around noon.
Police did not say if the sedan driver was injured.
