News: Two-vehicle crash in Etobicoke claims life of driver, leaves 1 injured

TORONTO, ON – A man has died as a result of a two-vehicle collision Tuesday morning in Toronto’s Etobicoke district, reports CBC News.

Toronto Police said the accident occurred on Albion Road, west of Highway 427, in the Claireville neighborhood. Officers responded to the scene some time after 10:10 a.m.

It remains unclear at this time what caused the incident, but paramedics confirmed that one man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

One other patient was transported to a local hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

Motorists were asked to take alternate routes around Albion Road, which was shut down in both directions to accommodate an investigation.

No charges have been reported at this time.
