News: Woman, 4 teens dead after wrong-way crash near Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, ON – A crash involving a wrong-way driver near Huntsville claimed the lives of a local woman and four teens from the greater Toronto area late Saturday.

According to CTV News, a Ford SUV heading east on Highway 40 near Hidden Valley Road collided with a westbound Mercedes SUV shortly after 11 p.m.

The Ford’s driver, 42-year-old Jessica Ward, from Huntsville, was rushed to an area hospital. She unfortunately succumbed to their injuries a short time later.

All four occupants of the Mercedes, between the ages of 15 and 17, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. They have since been identified as students from China living in the Toronto area.
