SCARBOROUGH, ON – A woman in her 70s lost her life to a pedestrian collision that took place in the Manse Valley on Thursday, CTV News reports.
The woman in her 70s was struck by a vehicle while she was crossing the intersection of Homestead Road and Coronation Drive. The pedestrian collision happened before 8:30 a.m. and warranted a quick response from EMS crews.
Ambulance personnel transported the elderly woman to a hospital. She was initially in critical condition, but later succumbed to her injuries.
Police confirmed that the driver stayed at the scene. Officials shut down Coronation Drive between Shoreview Drive and Homestead Road. During this time, drivers were asked to find alternative routes.
