News: Woman seriously hurt after getting hit by vehicle in North York 

NORTH YORK, ON – A woman in her 30s was left in serious condition after she was struck by a vehicle along the Hullmark Centre Friday.

Toronto Police said the driver struck the woman around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Yonge Street and Sheppard Ave E. After arriving, EMS crews took the woman to a hospital, and officers closed a major portion of the intersection.

Two northbound Yonge Street and one southbound Yonge Street lane were left open to accommodate the scene clearance process. Officials also left one lane open on westbound Sheppard.

During the closures, drivers were asked to seek alternative routes.
