News: Wrong-way collision on Hwy 401 in Milton claims 1 life, leaves 1 injured

MILTON, ON – Mississauga Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a wrong-way vehicle Sunday morning in Milton that resulted in the death of one person and left another person with critical injuries, reports OPP Highway Safety Division.

Authorities responded to the scene on the eastbound lanes of Highway 410 at Guelph Line (Exit 312) shortly before 7:53 a.m.

It’s unclear at this time what led up to the fatal collision, how many vehicles were impacted, and whether anyone is expected to be charged, but one person was pronounced deceased.

Another person was transported in life-threatening condition to a hospital in the Toronto area.

The Mississauga OPP continues to investigate.
