News: 1 killed, 3 hurt in two-vehicle crash in Pickering

PICKERING, ON – One person was killed and three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash last Friday, Feb. 27 in Pickering, CTV News reports.

The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Brock Road north of Taunton Road. Police determined that an 18-year-old adult lost control of their sedan on southbound Brock, veered into the northbound lane, and collided with a pickup truck.

The force of the collision led the 18-year-old adult to succumb to their injuries at the scene, and ejected their passenger, a 21-year-old adult.

EMS crews transported the 21-year-old adult to a trauma centre and two other adults, a 42-year-old woman, and a 58-year-old man to a nearby hospital.

The 21-year-old adult is in serious condition, while the woman and man are in stable condition.

The pickup truck driver appeared to have been uninjured.

Police have not said what caused the 18-year-old adult to lose control of their sedan.
