News: 2 hospitalized after U-Haul crashes into Rexdale home

TORONTO, ON – A driver of a U-Haul and one home occupant were taken to a hospital after the U-Haul motorist plowed into a Rexdale home Thursday.

This collision happened after 7 p.m. at the Brookmere Road and Kipling Avenue intersection, according to CP24. After the crash, the U-haul driver was either trapped or pinned and was extricated by fire crews.

Once the extrication was complete, first responders then took the home occupant and driver to the hospital for treatment of serious, non-life-threatening wounds.

The impact of this collision caused the house to collapse and affected the gas line.

Crews were able to restore the gas line.

Police started an investigation but have not been able to confirm the exact cause of this crash.
