News: 2 women hurt, man killed in 2-auto crash in Markham 

MARKHAM, ON – A male passenger in his 60s died and two women, one in her 60s as well and the other in her 40s sustained injuries in a two-vehicle wreck on Highway 7 Monday.

This crash happened before 8 p.m. east of Reesor Road, one of the drivers traveling east and the other west when they collided according to CBC.

Upon arrival, crews closed both directions for the standard scene clearance and for York Regional Police’s investigation. Officers declared the man dead at the scene, while first responders took the women, who were both operating vehicles, to separate medical facilities.

First responders took the woman in her 40s, to a trauma centre in Toronto for treatment of serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Emergency crews took the woman in her 60s to a nearby hospital, and then medical helicopter personnel transported her to a trauma centre also in Toronto, where she is listed in life-threatening condition.

The police department advises anyone with more information about this wreck, which includes dashboard video footage, to contact authorities at the phone number listed in the source.
