News: 3 hospitalized after two-vehicle collision in Burlington 

BURLINGTON, ON – Three people had to go to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision that happened on westbound Highway 407 connecting to Plains Road on Monday.

Ontario Provincial Police told CTV News that the incident happened around 7:45 a.m. and said the hospitalized people are recovering from injuries deemed possibly life-threatening.

Officials have initiated a several-hour-long road closure and anticipate having the scene cleaned and all lanes reopened after 2 p.m. During this time, commuters are asked to seek alternative routes if possible or expect to stay put in traffic congestion.

Police have not specified the specifics of the crash and are working to determine the cause.
