News: 3-vehicle collision closes section of Gardiner Expy near Harbourfront

TORONTO, ON – Toronto Police were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash early Tuesday afternoon on the Gardiner Expressway near the Harbourfront area, reports CityNews Everywhere.

The accident, which closed all eastbound lanes at York Street, prompted a response an emergency response shortly before 5:30 p.m.

While the cause and nature of the wreck has not been specified, three vehicles were impacted in the centre lane.

Officials have not confirmed any injuries or hospitalizations following the incident, but the closure was not lifted until about 9:00 p.m., more than three hours later.
