News: 4 hospitalized following head-on crash in Clarington 

CLARINGTON, ON – Four people were hospitalized following a head-on crash in Clarington on Sunday, CTV News reports.

Law enforcement said a pickup truck and an SUV collided head-on on Trulls Road, and suspect one of the drivers suffered a medical episode prior to the crash.

First responders pulled up to the scene after 12 p.m. and rushed the pickup truck driver, a 63-year-old man, and the SUV driver, a 48-year-old adult, and two SUV passengers to a hospital.

The 63-year-old man remains hospitalized, recovering from life-threatening injuries, while the SUV driver and passengers were released.

Officials shut down Trulls Road for several hours for on-scene cleanup.
