News: 7 injured, 2 seriously, after 2-car collision in North York

TORONTO, ON – Seven people were hospitalized Tuesday following a two-vehicle collision in North York, CP24 reports.

The collision happened at about 5:30 p.m. on July 7 near the intersection of Steeles Avenue West and Jane Street, close to the York University campus.

One of the vehicles overturned, trapping occupants inside. Responders were able to extricate them and transport them to an area hospital.

Two adults suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries. Five other people suffered minor injuries.

Murray Ross Parkway remained closed for some time afterward as authorities investigated.
