News: Alleged road rage leads to multi-vehicle Mississauga crash, 4 left injured

MISSISSAUGA, ON – Four people were rushed to the hospital early Monday morning following a crash in Mississauga that reportedly involved road rage and alcohol, according to a social media post by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division.

A 35-year-old driver was charged for Dangerous Operating and Stunt Driving in the multi-vehicle wreck, which unfolded on Highway 403 at Exit 117 to Mavis Road. The OPP first reported about the incident on X, formerly known as Twitter, at 5:16 a.m, when all lanes had already reopened to traffic.

While officials have not released a sequence of events leading up to the collision, four vehicles were impacted, and four people were transported to a local hospital as a result. Two of those patients were listed in serious condition.

The X post indicated that the suspect would face a 14-day impound of their vehicle, as well as a 30-day licence suspension.
