TORONTO, ON — Property damage was reported early Thursday following a single-vehicle hit-and-run crash in Toronto’s Riverdale neighborhood, according to Global News.
The incident took place near the corner of Danforth and Carlaw avenues, at around 4:41 a.m.
An early investigation by Toronto Police indicates a black SUV slammed into a pole, causing it to bend forward and leaving the ground and sidewalk covered in debris. A number of other poles on the sidewalk also appear to have been hit.
Authorities believe three occupants from the vehicle, two men and a woman, fled the scene on foot.
Hydro crews were requested in the area.
At this time, no arrests have been reported, but an investigation remains in progress.
