RICHMOND HILL, ON – One person suffered serious injuries Tuesday evening as a result of a pedestrian collision on Elgin Mills Road in Richmond Hill, reports CTV News Toronto.
According to York Regional Police, the accident unfolded in an area east of Bathurst Street, some time before 9:20 p.m.
Officials did not immediately disclose what led up to the crash, but a female pedestrian was hit by a westbound vehicle.
First responders transported the victim to a local trauma centre in critical condition.
It’s unclear which party was at fault in the incident, but the driver stayed at the scene.
