News: Auto-pedestrian wreck claims 1 life, leaves another injured 

MISSISSAUGA, ON – A woman in her 70s died, and a woman in her 60s was left critically injured, after being struck by a vehicle while walking in the Clarkson area Friday.

Toronto City News said the collision happened before 6:30 p.m. in the area of Lakeshore Road West and Walden Circle. The two women were taken to an area hospital. Officials said one of the patients has succumbed to their injuries, and the other remains hospitalized.

Peel Regional police, who responded to the scene, did not say if the driver should anticipate citations or charges. Officers are continuing to investigate the details behind the wreck.
