News: Driver dies after rollover crash on Hwy 7/8 in Kitchener

KITCHENER, ON — A male driver lost his life late Wednesday morning after being ejected during a rollover crash on Highway 7/8 in Kitchener, reports City News Everywhere.

The fatal accident happened on the eastbound highway at Trussler Road at about 11:00 a.m.

According to Ontario Provincial Police, the victim was driving when, for reasons still unclear, his vehicle veered into the ditch.

The victim, who was thrown from the vehicle during the rollover, was pronounced deceased by first responders at the scene. Authorities are working to identify him.

All eastbound lanes of Highway 7/8 were shut down in the area before reopening at about 3:18 p.m., about four hours later.
