News: Driver hospitalized after wreck near Toronto Pearson Int. Airport

MISSISSAUGA, ON – Ambulance crews rushed a driver to a trauma centre following a solo collision that happened along the Toronto Pearson International Airport Saturday.

Peel Regional Police announced this crash at 8:15 a.m., indicating it happened at the intersection of Derry Road East and Dixie Road.

After arriving, officers shut down Derry Road between Dixie Road and Telford Way to accommodate the standard scene clearance and investigation process. During the closures, police advised commuters to seek alternative routes or avoid the area altogether for a couple of hours.

Officials reopened the area at 10:55 a.m. At this time, the exact cause of this wreck and reports of citations or charges have not been announced.
