ETOBICOKE, ON – A driver was injured after their vehicle crashed into an icy pond near a loading dock in the Mimco district on Wednesday.
CTV News said the single-vehicle crash occurred before 9:45 p.m. in the area of Park Road and Lake Share Boulevard.
First responders arrived at the scene to find a nearly fully submerged vehicle. The occupants inside, including the driver, were able to safely evacuate that vehicle.
The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Police have not said if weather or road conditions played a part in the single-vehicle collision, or if anyone was cited.
