News E-scooter rider killed after getting hit by vehicle in South Riverdale 

TORONTO, ON – A male E-scooter rider died after getting struck by a vehicle in the South Riverdale area on Wednesday, the Toronto Star reports.

The scooter-vehicle collision occurred before 8 p.m. at the intersection of Leslie Street and Unwin Avenue, which is along Tommy Thompson Park.

Officials believe the male scooter rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, which could have contributed to his death.

Toronto police have not announced citations for the involved driver and are actively working to determine the events leading to the scooter-vehicle collision.
