News: Female pedestrian fatally struck by vehicle in Corktown

TORONTO, ON – A woman lost her life after she was hit by the driver of a black car in the vicinity of Queen Street East and Sackville Street in Corktown Thursday. 

CTV News said this collision happened before 6 p.m. when the driver approaching the crosswalk did not stop as the pedestrian crossed the interchange, going from northbound to southbound Queen Street. 

Upon arrival, first responders took the pedestrian to a trauma center, where she succumbed to fatal wounds. 

Police have not released the victim’s name at this time nor said if intoxication played a role in this wreck.
