OSHAWNA, ON – A 25-year-old man from Pickering lost his life in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 401 East near Harmony Road.
According to Toronto City News, the 25-year-old man was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a big rig. The two-vehicle collision happened around 6 a.m. Wednesday and warranted a response from Ontario Provincial Police and EMS crews.
Ambulance personnel rushed the 25-year-old man to a hospital, where he later lost his life. Police closed eastbound Highway 401, starting at Harmony Road and ending at Courtice Road, and anticipate reopening it around 1 p.m.
Officers did not specify whether the truck driver was injured or cited. Updates will be added after our team learns more.
