News: Man, 89, critically injured in two-vehicle collision in North York 

NORTH YORK, ON – An 89-year-old man was left in critical condition as a result of a two-vehicle collision in North York on Wednesday.

The crash happened before 6:30 p.m. on eastbound Bayview Avenue near Sheppard Avenue East, CTV News reports. The incident unfolded when an 86-year-old female driver was trying to exit from a private driveway and lost control of her vehicle and crashed into two northbound vehicles on Bayview Avenue before veering into the southbound lanes.

The 86-year-old woman crashed her car into a third vehicle. The impact of the collision left the passenger inside the vehicle, an 89-year-old man, with life-threatening injuries.

EMS transported the 89-year-old man to a hospital for treatment.
