News: Man hospitalized for major head injury after rollover crash in Barrie

BARRIE, ON – Authorities are investigating a rollover collision that occurred early Monday in Barrie that left a 26-year-old man with a serious head injury, reports CTV News.

First responders were called to the scene on Essa Road near Salem Road on June 24.

Barrie Police Services said a single vehicle veered off the roadway and into a wooded area, where it came to rest on its roof.

While officials did not confirm the number of occupants involved, the 26-year-old man was rushed to a local hospital for the major head injury.

Part of the area was shut down for the emergency response and investigation but was reopened after several hours.

No charges have been reported as of this writing.
