MISSISSAUGA, ON – A 56-year-old man was killed and an arrest was made following a deadly hit-and-run crash that took place in the East Credit area on Friday.
Peel Regional Police told the Toronto Star that the 56-year-old male pedestrian was struck by a Mini Cooper while crossing the intersection of Eglinton Ave. W. and Fallingbrook Drive.
The pedestrian died from his injuries, and the Mini Cooper driver fled the scene without rendering aid.
Police found and arrested the suspect, a 46-year-old man from Mississauga. He has been charged with failure to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in death. He has a court appearance scheduled for Dec. 22 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
