News: Man trapped in vehicle, fuel spills after crash in Etobicoke 

ETOBICOKE, ON – A man driving a passenger vehicle collided with a transport truck, which trapped him inside his car and caused diesel fuel to spill onto the road Wednesday.

Toronto City News said the crash occurred before 5 a.m. near Highway 27 and Dixon Road Wednesday. Preliminary details suggest that the man veered away from the southbound lanes and into the northbound lanes prior to hitting the truck. Fire crews were able to extricate the man from his vehicle and then took him to a trauma centre where he is recovering from critical, life-threatening wounds. No injuries were reported for the truck driver.

After arriving, crews shut down the area for the scene clearance procedure and told drivers to find alternative routes.
