News: Motorcyclist in critical condition after crash in Mississauga 

MISSISSAUGA, ON – A motorcyclist was left in critical condition as a result of a crash that happened on Highway 401 East on Thursday, Toronto City News reports.

Preliminary details suggest that around 6 a.m., the motorcycle collided with a larger vehicle. When police arrived at the scene, however, no other vehicle other than the motorcycle was present.

EMS crews transported the motorcyclist to a hospital, and police and transportation workers stayed behind to process the scene. Officials shut down all of the eastbound lanes for several hours and reopened all lanes at 2:00 p.m.

The exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
