News: Pedestrian dies following hit-and-run in Roncesvalles

TORONTO, ON – A man was fatally struck by a vehicle that fled the scene early Thursday in west Toronto’s Roncesvalles neighborhood, according to Global News.

The fatal incident took place near the intersection of Roncesvalles and Boustead avenues, prompting an emergency response shortly after 5:15 a.m.

An investigation into the circumstances of the event is underway, but Toronto Police said the involved driver failed to remain at the scene.

The victim was pronounced deceased not long after.

Officials have not yet released a description of the driver or the vehicle.

Motorists were advised of delays in the area, as roads were blocked off for the investigation.
