TORONTO, ON – Two people, a driver and a pedestrian, were injured due to a series of crashes late Tuesday afternoon in downtown Toronto’s Old Town neighborhood, reports CP24.
Toronto Police said the incident unfolded in the area of Jarvis and Front streets on June 25, just after 5:00 p.m.
While an investigation remains underway, preliminary details indicate a driver crashed their car into a pedestrian, a tree, and then a storefront.
Both the pedestrian and the driver were transported to a local hospital where their conditions remain undisclosed.
Authorities had a section of Jarvis Street blocked off from Front to King streets during the emergency response.
No information regarding potential charges has been shared.
