News: Scarborough crash involving school bus leaves 1 in critical condition

TORONTO, ON – One person was left critically injured late Tuesday morning following a crash involving a school bus in Toronto’s Scarborough district, according to CityNews Everywhere.

Toronto Police responded to the scene at the intersection of Midland Avenue and Kingston Road, in the Cliffside area, just before 11:00 a.m.

Preliminary details show the school bus, which was not transporting any children at the time, was struck by a vehicle.

The impact caused the striking vehicle to roll over and left one person with life-threatening injuries.

Toronto paramedics rushed the critically injured patient to an area trauma centre and assessed a number of other people at the scene.

Officials indicated that multiple vehicles were involved in the wreck, but no information about the third vehicle was immediately provided, and it’s unclear how many of the victims were occupants of the striking car or the bus.
