News: Toronto police charge man, 79, with murder after ‘intentional’ crash

TORONTO, ON – Toronto police have charged 79-year-old Ciro Garofano with murder after intentionally striking three individuals with a vehicle, resulting in the death of a woman on Wednesday afternoon.

According to BBC News, the incident took place at about 12:40 p.m. at an apartment building near the intersection of Victoria Park Avenue and Cassandra Boulevard.

Three people were rushed to an area hospital. One of the victims, a woman in her 60s, succumbed to her injuries later on.

Police say Garofano intentionally ran into the victims while they were standing outside of the building. He was taken into custody and charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
